I have been painting in some form for most of my adult life, although up until I moved to WA it was in a very ad-hoc way.  I have become absolutely passionate about my art, and spend every spare minute in my Art Room.

For most of this time I painted traditional watercolour landscapes and flowers, and have studied with world renowned Tasmanian Artist Tony Smibert whose Turner like approach appeals to me.

I recently felt the need to venture into the unknown to rejuvenate my enthusiasm, so decided to do something completely different and I now go the Freedom School of Painting with David Giles.   This is a completely new and free way for me to work, and I instantly had a connection with this style of creative painting.

Both my Abstracts and Traditional work are all about Colour and Light and a feeling of space.

In 2008 I had my first Solo Exhibition which was very successful. And in 2009 had another successful exhibition with my Niece.

I have exhibited in many other joint exhibitions both here and Tasmania.

My Paintings have been sold to buyers from all over Australia, and others have gone to England, USA and Asia,

I have recently won 5 awards for my Abstracts.

I can be contacted on 0408100391 or email pam.lockwood@iinet.net.au.

My work is on permanent display at Heathcote or can be viewed at my residence.
