I have been
painting in some form for most of my adult life, although up until I
moved to WA it was in a very ad-hoc way. I have become absolutely
passionate about my art, and spend every spare minute in my Art Room.
For most of this
time I painted traditional watercolour landscapes and flowers, and
have studied with world renowned Tasmanian Artist Tony Smibert whose
Turner like approach appeals to me.
I recently felt the
need to venture into the unknown to rejuvenate my enthusiasm, so
decided to do something completely different and I now go the Freedom
School of Painting with David Giles. This is a completely new and
free way for me to work, and I instantly had a connection with this
style of creative painting.
Both my Abstracts
and Traditional work are all about Colour and Light and a feeling of
space.
